PAMELA TEBEAU
BACHELOR OF ARTS, MASTERS IN TEACHING, NATIONAL BOARD CERTIFIED TEACHER
Hello, my name is Pam Tebeau. As you may have noticed, I am not an SLP. I am a Vocational Coordinator and also known as a Transition Coordinator. I have been in this role with my school district for 11 years and prior to that, I was a teacher for students living with intellectual, neurological and developmental disabilities for 15 years. I am passionate about working with families and young adults so that their transition from a school base to community, employment and independent living is student centered, supported by family and resources and outcome based. I especially enjoy helping young adults in identifying their career and living goals through exploration of their preferences, interests, strengths and needs. I have extensive knowledge and experience researching, identifying and navigating local, state and federal resources that could provide support for young adults and families. My goal is always to support families and students in answering the question, "What's next?", when it comes to transition. Having a flexible, but sustainable plan can and will help you and your child navigate transition.
